The Marine Maintenance Technician program at Lake Michigan College prepares you to earn your lifetime Mercury Marine Technician number and sit for the American Boat & Yacht Council Marine Service Technology Exam.
Developed in collaboration with the American Boat and Yacht Council, the Michigan Boating Industries Association, and local marinas, our program will prepare you for a job as a Marine Maintenance Technician in just seven weeks.
Skilled Marine Technicians are in demand year-round. This short-term training program provides you with the tools to become a skilled inboard and outboard engine tech and earn multiple certifications, including OSHA 10, American Heart Association First Aid, and CPR/AED, while learning the ropes in a marine-industry-recognized program.
