KRESA, Michigan Works! Southwest and Southwest Michigan First, along with other partners will host MiCareerQuest Southwest at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center on Tuesday, October 25 and Wednesday, October 26, 2022. This fun and unique event offers middle and high school students the opportunity to learn about careers in our region’s high-demand industries through interactive experiences with local employers. In the past, nearly 4,000 students have visited this hands-on demonstration over the course of the two-day event. Local employers will highlight careers in the following industries: advanced manufacturing, agribusiness, construction, health sciences and information technology through opportunities to interact with the equipment, tools and technology used by professionals every day in a broad range of positions. The overall goal is to connect classroom learning with real-world jobs to inspire the next generation to pursue careers in one of these high demand industries.
