When experienced leaders pour into emerging talent, the entire community gets stronger. That’s the idea behind First 50, Southwest Michigan’s signature mentorship program connecting rising professionals with seasoned change makers across the region.
This isn’t your typical leadership seminar. First 50 is built around impactful one-on-one mentorship, five in-person sessions, and a strengths-based curriculum designed to fit within the schedule of a busy professional. From emotional intelligence and executive habits to building intentional relationships, the experience is tailored to accelerate your growth without pulling you away from your day job.
“I think the biggest benefit of the program is the opportunity to learn from an experienced leader. That kind of guidance is invaluable,” said Rachael Tiesenga, Director of Workforce & Leadership Development. “The program pairs experienced leaders from across Southwest Michigan with the next generation of change makers to really make a difference in the future of our community.”
As a mentee, you’ll commit to:
- Four one-on-one mentorship meetings
- Five in-person sessions at the Catalyst Center
- Completing the Gallup Strengths assessment
- Sharing your experiences, challenges, and growth goals
You’ll also gain access to a powerful network of leaders ready to support your goals. Space is limited to just 25 participants.
The deadline to apply is May 26.
