The Village Manager is responsible for the efficient administration of all affairs of the Village and the supervision of departments, including the Police Department, Department of Public Works, and Clerk/Treasurer. The position also serves as the zoning administrator and staff liaison to the Planning Commission.

Schedule

  • Day shift

  • Evening meetings required (Village Council, Planning Commission)

  • Monday–Friday with flexibility for community events

  • Emergency on-call availability 24/7

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field

  • Municipal government experience, with roles such as city/village manager, assistant manager, or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, finance, planning and zoning, human resources, and intergovernmental relations

  • BS&A software experience preferred

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • A history of civic involvement and community engagement

  • Grant writing and analysis capabilities
