Patriot Engineering and Environmental is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager for the Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Northwest Ohio markets.

Career Opportunity

This position will be remote-based out of Northern Indiana or Southern Michigan and responsible for geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing sales throughout Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Northwest Ohio.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record in sales within the engineering consulting industry and the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships. This role will also support the Kalamazoo, Michigan office, contributing to its successful growth while overseeing sales efforts across Northern Indiana and Northwest Ohio in support of our Fort Wayne, Indiana office.

The successful candidate will be a key part of our team, dedicated to growing Patriot’s future by building a strong pipeline of work and a sustainable client base.

Essential Functions

Regional Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

• Represent Patriot, its core values, services, and staff with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
• Lead business development and sales strategies, including client outreach and community engagement.
• Initiate, lead, and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including:
  • Economic development professionals
  • Architects, engineers, and developers
  • Owners, contractors, and municipalities
  • Attorneys
• Source, develop, and close deals.
• Add value to clients by providing dual-benefit solutions and identifying efficiencies in projects.
• Maintain and improve client relationships, cross-marketing Patriot’s full range of services.
• Work directly with business development, marketing teams, practice leads, and branch managers to execute business development objectives.
• Attend and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent Patriot.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sales within GEO, CME, or ENV consulting services (or equivalent experience preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven ability to network, market, and build relationships with industry leaders.
• Strong listening and communication skills to align client needs with Patriot’s services.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize activities effectively.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals.
• Professional, energetic, and enthusiastic company representative.
