Right now, one in three kids in America don’t have a sustained, positive mentor in their lives.
Right now, 100 local kids are on the waiting list, ready to be matched with their mentor.
Right now, you can make a positive difference.

As adults, we know how hard growing up can be. What would your childhood have been like if you had just one more adult who believed in you?

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) pairs local youth (called Littles) with adult mentors (called Bigs). These mentors act as an additional role model in the child’s life, walking alongside them, igniting their potential.

Ignite the potential of a local child by becoming a Big in BBBS’ Bigs in Schools program! In this mentoring program, you will meet with your Little at their school for 30-60 minutes, 2-4 times a month, over the course of one school year.

After being matched for just one year, Littles in our program report:

  • Increased self-confidence
  • Stronger relationships
  • Improved self-confidence

Your life experience alone is enough knowledge to help you be a great mentor! On top of that, BBBS provides you with training before you meet your Little. Additionally, your match is assigned a Mentoring Relationship Specialist (MRS) who will oversee your match. The MRS provides support and coaching throughout the length of your match.
