Kalamazoo Anesthesiology is hiring a Coding and Billing Supervisor to lead and support their medical coding and billing team. This full-time, in-office position plays a crucial role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient revenue cycle management.

As a key member of the administrative team, the Supervisor will mentor staff, manage workflows, oversee audits, and maintain best practices across billing operations. The role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and deep understanding of medical billing processes and regulatory compliance.

Position Summary
The Coding and Billing Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of specialists, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and compliance with medical coding standards. The position also involves system administration for billing software, collaboration with providers and insurance companies, and the implementation of updated billing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and evaluate the Coding and Billing team

• Oversee billing and coding metrics, audits, and compliance

• Resolve escalated billing issues and collaborate with providers and payers

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, ICD-10, and CPT codes

• Administer software systems related to billing and coding

• Support policy development and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical coding and billing

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience

• Current CPC certification or equivalent

• Proficiency with billing systems, Office 365, and EMR platforms

• Strong communication and leadership skills
