It is a community\, online marketplace that helps local businesses reach customers looking to spend their dollars locally year-round. \n \nWho this is for \nThis workshop is a good fit if your business: \n\nSells physical products (food and value-added goods\, art\, crafts\, retail items\, and similar)\nHas at least five products ready to list\, or can pull together five by the workshop date\nCan fulfill an online order by shipping it or by offering local pickup; you do not have to ship every item\nIs based in\, or selling to\, the Greater Kalamazoo area\n\n \nThis is a working session\, not a lecture. You will sit down with our team\, set up your virtual storefront\, and list your first few products. You’ll walk out with active listings on the site! Come with your products or photos and a rough idea of pricing\, and we’ll handle the setup together in the room. \nThere are no profile or listing fees to participate\, only standard payment processing fees through Paypal or Stripe. \n \nHow to prepare (Important: please read) \nBefore the workshop\, you must complete the short vendor registration form at https://www.shoplocalgreaterkalamazoo.com/vendor-registration/. \n \nThis gives you approval to create your Shop Local Greater Kalamazoo profile\, which you will need to have in hand when you arrive. We cannot get you activated and online without it. \n \nAfter you have completed the vendor registration form\, you’ll need to bring these things to the workshop: \n\nYour products or clear photos of them\nA rough price for each item\nA laptop\, preferably (a tablet or other mobile working device can be used if a laptop is unavailable)\n\n \nIf you prefer to set up a time one-on-one\, you can apply for a profile at your convenience. Once approved\, you will have access to a library of short video tutorials.
